Joachim is Founder and Managing Director of Varsyn and works as a strategic intelligence advisor at the intersection of geopolitics, technology, business and national security. He has more than 10 years of intelligence experience from the Norwegian Armed Forces and the police, most recently as an intelligence lead at the National Cybercrime Centre (NC3) at Kripos.
His work focuses on understanding how physical, digital and human threats interact, and how these dependencies shape strategic risk for organisations and decision-makers. At Varsyn, he advises public- and private-sector organisations on threats, geopolitical risk, security and technological dependencies, with a particular focus on AI infrastructure, compute, technological sovereignty and national security.
