Stop Asking For More Power

11:30–12:2050 min

Start Using the Energy We Already Have

Norway needs more power and grid capacity. But there is also significant capacity to be found in the energy system we already have.

Buildings can move consumption away from peak hours. Data centres produce large amounts of usable heat. Thermal storage, batteries and local generation can reduce pressure on the grid. Much of this potential is still unused.

This session looks at how much capacity can realistically be released, what it takes, and what the economics look like for property owners.

With real projects and numbers, we examine how buildings, data centres, district heating and the grid can work better together — and how far that can take us before we simply ask for more power.
